Red Rock Consulting and Drilling Services of Oklahoma (DSO) recently completed the geotechnical investigation for the widening of the Interstate 35 bridge over the Canadian River in Norman, Oklahoma. Due to the company’s summer workload, additional help was needed to keep all of Red Rock’s projects on schedule. The help came by way of our friend, Robel Gibbe, EI, who stepped in and performed field work to ease the workload.

The field investigation for this project took approximately 3 weeks in the middle of the hottest Oklahoma summer on record. Let’s all hope Robel will rejoin us soon!

Red Rock Consulting has moved into a 2,200 square foot office/shop facility located in Highwater Business Park at 7042 Highwater Circle, Suite B, in Edmond, Oklahoma. After spending some quality bonding time with 3 employees in a home office, the company is enjoying some much needed space. The space is well warranted with the addition of another new employee on December 6.

The new office features individual offices with reception, kitchen, gym and shop areas. The office was built out especially for RRC. The layout and interior design was provided by Red Prairie Design Group.

Tess Jones joined Red Rock Consulting as the Operations & Marketing Coordinator in November of 2010. Tess has over 12 years experience in administrative customer service, office management and marketing. As Operations & Marketing Coordinator, she oversees and maintains the day to day actions of the office. She manages the billing system and ensures reports and proposals are executed and filed. Tess has recently been coordinating the move to the new office, employee benefit packages and parties, including the joint DSO-RRC holiday party and the RRC open house, to take place in December. She has also been busy updating marketing materials to reflect all the changes at RRC.

When asked about her recent move into the geotechnical engineering community, Tess responded by stating, “Diving into the geotech field has been an awesome learning experience. RRC has the best clients and consultants! I’m excited to continue growing with such a great company!”

Welcome, Tess! Thanks for taking care of us!
