E-Week Activities

Red Rock Consulting engineers participated in Engineering Week (E-Week) 2016 by teaching kids about engineering.  Jason Unruh and Tommy Bounds assisted Mike Thompson (with Zahl Ford) in the toothpick bridge competition at the Oklahoma Science Museum in Oklahoma City.  Their job was to crush the kids’ dreams and hard work by loading the bridges until they broke.  The toothpick bridge competition is an annual event during E-Week.

Kristi Bumpas, Robel Gibbe and Polly Sharp all went to Cross Timers Elementary to talk to pre-K and 1st grade students about engineering. The kids also enjoyed a STEM activity involving the 3 little pigs, houses and wind loads…mostly because it ended with candy…

Merry Christmas Party!!

The 2015 Red Rock/DSO Christmas party raised the bar, as usual. Fun was had by all with food, music and line dancing lessons!  Our first Christmas tree was decorated with special ornaments from each employee.  Can’t wait for next year’s party!

Backup Plan

If this whole engineering thing doesn’t work out I could always be a dirt work contractor!  I had fun digging test pits with Jimmy’s Excavation in Stillwater today.
